Resume processing
Resume text and job descriptions are processed in the active browser session for alignment analysis. For paid PDF editing, your original PDF and selected sentence replacements are sent over HTTPS for temporary processing and returned as an edited PDF. The uploaded file and generated PDF are not saved to customer history or file storage.
Account data
When you create an account, CandidateLift stores your account identifier, verified email, optional search preferences, plan, credit balance, a document fingerprint to associate paid edits with the analyzed file, and analysis metadata such as job title and score. Clerk provides identity verification, sign-in, password security, session management, and account-recovery services; CandidateLift does not receive or store your password.
Usage analytics
CandidateLift records first-party product events such as page views, completed analyses, pricing clicks, checkout starts, and exports. These records can include a temporary browser-session identifier, page path, referring hostname, and campaign tags. Analytics events do not contain resume text or job-description text.
Payments
Stripe processes checkout and payment details. CandidateLift stores purchase identifiers, status, amount, and entitlements, but not full card details.
Control and retention
Do not upload information you are not authorized to use. Account deletion and export requests will be supported before the paid service exits beta. Operational records may be retained where required for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations.
